NORA's 7TH season Restrictor Plate League. Running the new NCTS09 Truck Mod in fixed setup mode, Moderate damage , Three races a night appox... 20 laps each, pit frequency at 1X first two races no yellows and 2x the last race cautions on, 60 degrees.
We will be using a scoring system identical to the Wednesday Night Fixed series that awards points only to the top 8 finishers. There will be no bonus points for leading a lap or the most laps - hopefully this will help to keep drivers from feeling that they have to block to lead every/most laps.
We will allow the lucky dog on the last sprint race in this series no matter how many laps are left.
LUCKY DOG RULE The first driver one lap must notify the Race Official. This driver must make a pit stop at the first legal opportunity. The lucky dog driver must pit each and every lap possible under the yellow, making sure to SPEED on pit road. This will give the lucky dog an “End of the Longest Line” penalty. After the green flag comes back out, the race Officials will give a lap back to the lucky dog.
Racing back to the yellow will be allowed at all times.
INTERESTED DRIVERS SHOULD UPDATE THEIR ACCOUNTS IN THE RACELM GARAGE. THERE IS NOW A BOX TO BE CHECKED TO JOIN THE RPL.
The Points system will be Formula 1 based, with the top 8 drivers each race earning points.
| Place | Points | | 1 | 10 | | 2 | 8 | | 3 | 6 | | 4 | 5 | | 5 | 4 | | 6 | 3 | | 7 | 2 | | 8 | 1 | The driver who earns the most points over the season wins the drivers' title. If the top two drivers finish tied on points, then the one with more victories in the season wins. Should they each have the same number of victories, then the one with the most second place finishes wins, etc.

Chicagoland Atlanta Lowes Night Kansas Vegas 2007 Milwaukee_pwf
Homestead 2K2
The Points system will be Formula 1 based, with the top 8 drivers each race earning points.

There will be a lucky dog rule in this series with 10 or more laps to go. 4.3.2 LUCKY DOG RULE The first driver one lap down must notify the Race Official. This driver must make a pit stop at the first legal opportunity and every other legal lap possible under the yellow, making sure to SPEED on pit road. This will give the lucky dog an “End of the Longest Line” penalty. After the green flag comes back out, the race Officials will give a lap back to the lucky dog. Racing back to the yellow will be allowed at all times.
When less than 10 laps to go, all lap cars must drive thru pit road at every legal opportunity to allow lead lap cars to the front of the field.
4.4.3 Inside of 10 laps to go, ALL cars a lap or more down MUST pit on the 2nd lap under caution and line up at the end of the lead-lap cars. Lap cars need to pit every time by until the green flag flies to ensure they are behind the lead lap cars. It is not necessary to stop in your pit stall, you may just drive through the pits.
If current NORA members are interested in racing, please get signed up using the NORA Car File manager and edit your membership to include the ITS series. If you are new to NORA, click on the car and truck file uploader link and get registered. | | | | |
